Take Action

Successful people take action.  They do not ask whether they can do something, they just go out and do it. When we approach life like this, things seem to work themselves out on their own in ways bigger and better than we could have imagined. We spend too much time in fear of failure, in fear of success, in fear of what others think. But extraordinary people have the faith and the confidence that once they set their mind and focus on something and they take action steps toward that goal, God takes over, and His plan synchronizes with our these steps.

This does not mean that things will always go exactly how we envisioned it. But it means that something greater than ourselves seems to take over once we start taking action steps toward a goal.

In her book, The Artists Way, Julia Cameron focuses on this concept. Ms. Cameron suggests that “you should not ask whether you can do something. Instead, say that you are doing it.” You will then find extraordinary things to follow that seem to synchronize with your action steps.

Whether it has been your dream to write a book, become an airline pilot, or own your own bakery, take some steps forward toward that dream.  What does that look like? You are likely to find that once you set your mind to it and start taking small action steps, that God will take over and the universe will synchronize itself with your actions. Don’t let fear stop you from living an extraordinary life. Start by taking small action steps toward your dream – you will likely be pleasantly surprised by how external forces seem to work themselves out to assist you in ways you couldn’t have imagined.
