Take Care of Your Body

Be careful not to burn yourself out. Our society seems to often celebrate overwork, lack of sleep, and “healthy” stress as a sort of badge of honor. However, when we don’t get enough sleep, when we go full speed from work, home, back to work, and repeat we can burn ourselves out. Sleep and rest (two different things by the way) are crucial to maximize efficiency and productivity. We have talked about regular exercise and daily morning “me time.” Regular sleep and rest are just as if not more important than these other healthy habits. When we don’t get enough sleep and burn the candle at both ends we spend the day staring at our computer screens like zombies because we don’t have. R energy to make it through the day. Lack of sleep leads to less productivity, more stress, more anxiety, and more susceptibility to sickness and disease. It’s equally important to set time aside each day to let your body relax, even for five minutes. All this resting and relaxing sounds counterproductive but it is crucial for you to maximize your potential and maximize your success.Make sleep and rest a priority in your life.
