Go on a weekly date with yourself

Our calendars fill up rapidly making it difficult to set time aside for ourselves. We end up having our weekends filled up before Tuesday. Do you experience this too? In order to reflect on the trajectory of your life and where you want to go it’s important to set an appointment with yourself to be by yourself. Regularly.

Schedule an hour meeting with yourself once per week to do something you enjoy doing. This can be simple like going for a walk, going to the driving range, or sitting on a park bench. But be alone. This is your time with yourself and God. Release the stressors from your week and shift the focus onto your purpose and your why. This will be your own personal weekly checkpoint.

Reflect on the actions you took during the week that are consistent with your purpose and identify the areas that need improvement. This is not selfish, it is crucial to being the best possible version of yourself which ultimately benefits not only you but everyone around you.

Go on a date with yourself and don’t be late.
